Oratorical Contest

Topic for 2027: Essay Content
“ How My Actions Strengthen Those Around Me"

What: 4-5 minute speech presented to the Great Falls Optimist Club; two qualified contestants will advance to the District Contest.

When: April 8, 2027 at the Grange Schoolhouse, 9818 Georgetown Pike, Great Falls

Eligibility:
- Contestants under the age of 19 as of October 1.
- Combined boy and girl contests at all levels (Club-Zone-District).

Essay Contest

Topic for 2027: Essay Content
"Finding My Voice in a World Full of Noise”

What: Students submit a 700-800 word essay on the 2027 topic to the Great Falls Optimist Club (greatfallsoptimistva@gmail.com) by midnight February 4, 2027.

Eligibility Update:
Contestants under the age of 19 as of October 1, and have not yet graduated from high school or the equivalent.
